Arran is the perfect location for an outdoor photography workshop. The sheer diversity of species, from the majestic golden eagles, otters, red deer, and common seals highlights the richness of our island’s ecosystems. Arran also serves as a wildlife sanctuary for endangered species like the red squirrels, hen harriers, pine martins and capercaillie. There is always something to point your lens at, and the landscapes of mountain, sea, sky and glen are simply spectacular.

Outdoor Photography Workshop on the Glen
Calling all outdoor photography enthusiasts. Embark with us on an exhilarating journey through the stunning glens of Arran, each one a masterpiece sculpted by ancient glaciers. Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant ecosystem, capturing the intricate details of flora, fauna, and geological wonders that make these landscapes truly magical.
Keep your camera at the ready to capture the kings of the sky: golden eagles, hen harriers, and common buzzards soaring above. And don’t miss the chance to photograph the elegant red deer, often seen roaming freely in herds across the island’s rugged terrain.
But the excitement doesn’t end there. Prepare to photograph the agile wheatears darting among the rocks and the charming stone chats perched on heather-covered slopes. With a stroke of luck, you might even snap shots of Arran’s elusive reptile residents.
As you explore, discover a kaleidoscope of wild plants dotting the landscape, offering endless opportunities for stunning macro shots. Whether you choose to explore Glen Rosa, Glen Sannox, or Glen Catacol. Surround yourself with towering peaks, ancient woodlands, and breathtaking skies.
